Prickley Pear Monday Post

As you may know, Prickley Pear are having some issues with their website. There's a new temporary site up at www.prickleypearrs.com  and I have updated their logo on the right with that.
That being said, we have gotten off our blog posting schedule a little bit. But I will go ahead and post my card today.
This is the HH0134 Flowering Tree red rubber stamp. I colored it with Copics and cut it out. Layered it onto a Spellbinder die and made little white dashes around the edge of the diecut. The sentiment is from CLR031 Spring Poinsettias, stamped onto a smaller size of the Spellbinders die.
These are new stamps, released at CHA, and should be up on PPRS site by 2/2. I'll get mine up in The Stamproom soon as they come in.

Treeline

This is from one of my favorite stamp sheets, Woodlands, by Chocolate Baroque. I colored it with Copics and layered black, blue and lime green papers.

PPRS CHA Blog Hop

If you're going by the Prickley Pear Blog Hop list, you should have just come from Jessica's blog. Can't wait to see what she has made.

I love this clear stamp set! (And quite a few of the other new ones.) This one is called Spring Flourished Ovals - CLR033 and the accompanying die is Flourished Oval - PPRSD033.
I ran out of time, so it's a simple card. First I stamped the image onto my diecut, colored the flowers with Copics. Then I used 2 Sizzix dies, I added a little detail around the edge in black on the green one, and in white on the purple one. The flower ribbon fit just perfect, and I added a dot of Yellow Stickles to the middle of each.

Well, I believe Lucy is next on the list.
And don't forget to leave your comments, so you'll be in the drawing for the price, one of the new clear stamp sets released at CHA.

Steampunk Butterfly

This stamp is from the Steampunk Butterfly stamp sheet by Chocolate Baroque. I colored the butterfly image with Copics, and just used various coordinating papers to layer. A little Glossy Accent on a few things and some Vintage Photo Distress Embossing Powder on a few gears on the Butterfly for a rusty effect.

Romantic Steampunk

Painted a small paper frame with acrylic paint. (Claudine Hellmuth) Stamped a crackle pattern on top and then put a thick layer of Distress Rock Candy Crackle Paint. All stamps are from the Punky Romance sheet, by Chocolate Baroque. 3 of them are on the right side, 2 shown in the detail picture on the right. I used black StazOn on Shrink Plastic.

Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps Blog Hop Day 2

Day 2!  I'm still excited, how about you?
Did you see the other posts yet? Jessica is ahead of me on the list today.
My card today is very different from the one I posted yesterday.
Don't you think?
I used a small red rubber image of Couple on Bench, just released at CHA. I stamped it on the Heart die from PPRS in black ink. On the black card stock underneath I used the PPRS stamp Swirls ATC with Versamark. Then I dusted a little Macropearl PearEx on that. It's very suttle, even in reality. I came across an ancient corner punch, that I thought fit the theme, and used that. I layered black on pink, then black again and ran a light pink polka dot ribbon around it. The stamped heart went on top of all that The card is the same pink paper as the mat and the heart, and I just added little metal photo corners that I picked up at either Hobby Lobby or Michaels.
So now I'm done being excited, but you can continue on and visit Heidi's blog.

Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps Blog Hop Day 1

This is my first time doing a Blog Hop, so I'm very excited, and really hope I get all this right.
I'm second on the list today, and if you didn't start at the top, you can go back and see what Heidi had for us to start off with.
For today I choose this red rubber  Bird on a Branch image, a brand new PPRS CHA release. The saying, a heartfelt thanks, is also one of PPRS' new CHA releases.
I stamped the bird on smooth white cardstock and colored with Copics, then cut the bird out. I used a Spellbinder diecut, Floral Ovals, and cut the shape out in light blue. I stamped the Bird again, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink, on the blue diecut. I used Spica Glitter Pens,  to color over the brances and hearts. The cut out Bird I glued on top of the blue and then pulled out my Distress Inks. I used both Seedless Preserves and Dusty Concord around the edges and on the punched out photo corners, punch by EK Success. The sentiment was stamped in Seedless Preserves.
Don't forget to leave your comments, and play along. Winner gets a brand new set of stamps!  Now Hop over to see Jessica's blog.

CHA

CHA Winter Convention 2013 is over today. And even though I was not able to go in person, I have managed to follow it and order. Too much! Thank goodness it won't all come in at one time.
Stampendous is the exception to the rule here, I was able to pre-order from them and have just gotten their shipment in. AND, uploaded to the store. Fun colored Mica, glass glitter, "Encrusted Jewel Kits" and LOTS of great stamps. Here are 2 of my favorites.

PanPastels

Got a little shipment in yesterday. Some 6x6 paper pads, a few Tilda stamps from Magnolia
and PanPastels.
Haven't tried mine yet, but they are ultra soft, almost creamy, and don't seem to fly around all
over the placelike a lot of other chalks. They are artist grade, hence the price. I'll play with them
this weekend and let you know what they're like.

Chocolate Baroque Samples

Just in time for Valentine's - here's a stamp from the "Punky Romance" sheet from Chocolate Baroque.

And this one is from the sheet "Woodlands".

Heartfelt Creations

I have finally managed to finish a sample using a stamp from Heartfelt Creations. This one is from the Delicate Asters line. I colored with Copics and then had a little fun on the bottom with Frantage Embossing Enamels & mica chips.
