Prickley Pear Design Team weekly card.

I used the stamp "Steampunk Locomotive"  (KK0033) and 2 of the clear stamps from Prickley Pears Rubber Stamps "Gears" set. I also used the die "Gears" from PPRS and one from Spellbinder's called "Sprightly Sprockets". The locomotive was colored with Copics originally, but once I got going putting this card together I ended up using Frayed Burlap Distress ink on pretty much everything. the really big gear in the background got a once-over with Frayed Burlap Distress Stain and a dusting of Perfect Pearls Heirloom Gold.
Obviously the PPRS stamps are available from them, but you can also get them and all the other items mentioned above (except the Perfect Pearls) from my Stamproom.

Distress Paints

Check out what Glenda from Chocolate Baroque has done, and what she says about the Distress Paints. Oh, and then remember that I just re-stocked and have ALL the colors available at www.thestamproom.com.

Altered Napkin ring

Found this napkin ring at a store called SteinMart, and immediately thought I could do something fun with it.
So I used it for weekly PPRS Design Team submission. I used the Mini Birds Clear Stamps (CLR026) and Mini Birds Die (D026). The birds and vine are all gold embossed on blue paper and just glued in place.

Time Flies

I have been so busy receiving and uploading loads of new product. My poor blog has been neglected!
So let me tell you what's new:

  • Stamps from Chocolate Baroque, Prickley Pear (+ dies), Make It Crafty, Tim Holtz Blueprint Stamps, PaperArtsy (+ dies).
  • 6x6 templates from The Crafters Workshop.
  • PanPastels in 5 packs. A little more affordable.
  • Various paper pads, ohh, one is adorable and has a matching stamp set of Wellington the Bear.
  • Distress PAINTS.
  • The new colors in Dylusions Sprays.
  • Art Parts from Studio 490 - Wendy Vecchi. Also got her "Clearly For Art Modeling Film Sheets". Can't wait to play with them.
  • Gold and Silver Gelatos.

I'm sure I've missed something, I'll add it next time around. I still have loads of stuff on preorder, back order,  just plain on order.....

Here is one of the new UM stamps from PaperArtsy. This did not turn out the way I envisioned it, but it's still kinda fun.

The stamp is from "Ding & Dong 2" by Squiggly Ink from PaperArtsy. I stamped on tissue paper, glued and wrapped it around the mini canvas, and used various colors of Distress Stain. I misted the canvas with water and let the stains run together a little. I then dipped the upper part into melted UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel) and stamped the clocks in the upper left hand corner into it while it was still warm. Then I rubbed a little acrylic paint into the crevasses to make them show up.
The chipboard wings were painted with acrylic paint and stamped with black Archival ink.

Prickley Pear Monday Post

Another blue card for me.
On this card I did a background using 3 different PanPastel colors. (It's a new product to the store as well as a new "toy" for me, and I think I'm in love with these things. I have smaller sets coming in soon as well.) After getting the colorblend I wanted I stamped "Fairy Dust" from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps, in Archival black ink on top. I used Spellbinder's dies and cut out the oval with the image and then the Scalloped Oval to put behind. The little dragonflies in the upper right hand corner are from the "ButterflyStamp Set" by Prickley Pear.
Yep, keeping it simple this week!

Prickley Pear Monday Card

Blue and Missing You

Used the Flourished Oval die, the Spring Flourished Ovals (CLR033) clear stamp set, the Blobby Flowers 2 (CLR015A) clear stamp set, and the dragonflies came from The Butterfly Clear Stamp Set. I colored the flowers with Copics, B20's and Y15.

........sittin' in a tree

This cute little couple, sittin' in a tree, is by Connie Fong from Sweet Pea Stamps. It's actually called "Kissed by an Angel" .
I colored it with Copics, what else?!
