Monday Prickley Pear Post

On this card I used the Clear Stamp Sets "Butterfly 2" and "Mini Butterfly" and their corresponding dies. The butterflies were colored with Copics, and I then found paper to coordinate. The large circular background die, as well as the little one, is a Spellbinder die. And, as always, the colors on the actual card look so much better.

Prickley Pear Monday Post

This line of flowers from Prickley Pear is just so much fun!!! First the Blobby Flowers 2 Clear Stamp, and the Spring Flourished Ovals Set had 2 stamps that matched, now for the Summer release Field of Flowers ATC (HH0030), Flower Box (GG0048). On this card I also used the Spring Flourished Ovals Clear Set and the Flourished Oval Die.
The background is just white paper sprayed with Art Anthology's "Vineyard" Colorations Spray. Love it!  The ATC background was stamped in black on top. The flowers were all colored with Copics - I have found that the V20's matches the "Vineyard" really well.
On the bottom I used a Tim Holtz scallop die. Then my trusty Stickles (ok, maybe I went overboard with the lime green around the frame just a little), and voila!

Prickley Pear April New Stamp Release

I used the new CLR025A Gears2, the PPRS D025 Gears die and GG0138 Dandelion with Butterflies. (Although you really can't see much of it.) The patern paper is called Happy Days by docrafts/Papermania. I used a Spellbinders die for the mats, Labels Twenty Nine.  And if anyone knew how much time I spent coloring around the edges, glazing, crackling etc. of everything, (gears, mats - the whole nine yards) they would think I was crazy.

Prickley Pear Summer Release

New stamp release time! As a Design Team Member that is very exciting, because we get new stamps to play with!!!
For my card today I choose "Lolita, FF0052" which surprised me, because when I first saw her I just looked at the stamp and thought, "What on Earth would I do with her?". Well, come time to sit down and create, she jumped to the top of the pile and I had the whole card envisioned right away. So, here she is:
I used Copics to color her, the chipboard frame is from Make It Crafty and I used Bundled Sage Distress Paint to color it. The background paper inside the frame is from an old Club Scrap kit, and the other one a brand new paper I got from :Bildmalarna". As always my Photoshop and photographic skills are not up to par. But she is still lovely, isn't she?

Prickley Pear Monday

Seems that's all I use this blog for anymore. Shame on me.
But here is a happy, colorful spring card. Again, Photoshop and I are not getting along. Then again, neither was my camera and I today.
It's just always better in real life.
I used Flowering Tree (HH0134UM) and colored it with Copics. I also used the stamps Heartfelt Thanks (DD0156UM) and Dove, sm. (BB0063UM). The pattern papers are from DoodeleBug and I used Spellbinder Dies.

Prickley Pear Monday

On this card I used the  JJ0004UM "Daisy in a Pocket" and the DD0064M "Daisy in a Pocket", small, and the sentiment is DD0047UM. They were colored with Copics, cut out and mounted. The template for this card is called a Center Stepper Card Template. I love a little "paper architecture" every now and then. From this angle you really can't tell what it looks like. I'll have to make a different card and use it again. :)

Ripping and Tearing

This card by Libby Edmundson came out great!! One of the papers are Graphic 45, the rest, I'm not so sure about. lol The 3-D Butterfly comes from the Chocolate Baroque Stamp Set "Patchwork Butterfly" and was colored with Distress Inks. The directions to this technique is in the May 2013 issue of the British magazine Craft Stamper.

Prickley Pear Monday Post

I used the stamps "50's Bodice" and "Cherries, sm." from PPRS, both foam mounted red rubber stamps, colored them with Copics and picked papers and ribbon to coordinate.
