PaperArtsy is in the store!

Got a nice heavy box from Great Britain yesterday! Loaded with stamp sheets from PaperArtsy. I got a few dies to coordinate as well.
You'll find most of them under the stamp category "eclectic". It was difficult to categorize them, so they got their own. lol

Prickley Pear Monday Blog Submission

This week I made a "Happy Fall" card for our Prickley Pear Design Team blog submission.
I used the Fall Scalloped Oval 2 stamp set and their Scalloped Oval Die. The sunflower I colored with Copics, and then the layering began. The colored papers are from a DCWV paper pad. To "notch" the corners I used a small circle punch.
The wavy bottom was done with an embossing and die combo from Stampin' Up. A little lace, a few well placed gold dots and it was time to get the Distress ink out, Pumice Stone, and everything was distressed except the gold dots.

Steampunk Top Hat

I found this project it in the British magazine Craft Stamper, the August 2012 issue. They have the template at this website: http://res.trapletpublications.com/trapletimages/TopHatTemplate.pdf  but no instructions.
It was more fun than I imagined. I had a blast! I decided to make it one of the projects I need to do for Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.
:

Materials
  • Ranger Grungepaper
  • Ranger Distress Embossing Powder :Milled Lavender
  • Ranger Distress Stains: Peeled Paint, Milled Lavender, Dusty Concorde
  • Acrylic paint - I used a plum color.
  • Stamps: Swirls ATC Background and Steampunk Gear Stamp Set with coordinating die from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.
  • Strong liquid adhesive. Craft Stamper used Glossy Accents.
  • Embellishments: ribbon, eyelets, paper cord (or something similar) to lace through eyelets. Get creative and use embellishments that suit your style.

Placed some orders!!

I spent some money over the last few days! So we have new merchandise, stamps and coordinating dies primarily, coming in from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps, Stampendous and a nice big order from the British company Paper Artsy. (They were offering free international shipping this week!) They had so much to choose from, that I stayed within one catalog. "Hot Picks".
All these companies ship very quickly.

The Monday Prickley Pear Design Team Contribution

I used the Scalloped Oval 2 Clear Stamp Set from Prickley Pear, stamped the pumpkin oval stamp on their scalloped oval die, added the sentiment in the middle. The 3 little pumpkins on the ribbon are from the same set. I used my Copics to color, YR12 and YR15. Around the edges of the scalloped ovals and the cardstock I used my VersaMark pen and then embossed using the Frantage Aged Green Embossing Enamel from Stampendous. A little ribbon, a lot of pearls, and it's done.

The chipboard from Make It Crafty in Australia came in today. Lots of great ones for Christmas! Holly, snowflakes, borders, oval frames......
I think my favorite one is the Oval Snowflake Frame.

But there are so many others. You just have to go look.

And here's the 4th one!

As promised, I don't even know how many posts and weeks ago, here's the 4th little girl.
I colored her with Copics, used BoBunny Mistletoe paper to layer with and a Make It Crafty Chipboard frame
up in the left corner to frame the sentiment.
Want to know the secret to coloring chipboard? Or did I tell you already?
Well, it's colored pencils. WOW, does that ever work well.

Little Boo from Prickley Pear

On the card "Little Boo" I used the pumpkin, ghost, teeny-weeny spider and leaf from the Mini Owls Clears Stamp Set 2, and the little Boo saying from the Bats Clear Stamp Set, all from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.
I used a crackle medium on the pumpkin and leaves, distress inked the purple Harlequin paper a little with Dusty Concord Distress Ink. The pattern papers are from K&Co. I love their little mat pads for card making.

"Fly By Bats" Card

This was just a nice simple card to make. I used the Prickley Pear Scalloped Oval Die, stamped the little spider and web oval from Prickley Pear's Clear Stamp Set Scalloped Ovals 2, the tiny bats (all hand cut out), and both sayings are from their Bat Clear Stamp Set.
The spider web paper is from K&Co and EK Success makes the ticket punch I used for the saying.

They're not my style really, but I saw their booth at a convention here in Jacksonville. And I must say, some of their samples were absolutely stunning!
So, I have just placed my first order with Heartfelt Creations!!  I think I got their latest collection, Vintage Floret Collection another one called Delicate Aster Collection. And the tea cups of course. I'm excited. Hope I'm not the only one.
