Heartfelt Creations Card

Well, a photographer I am not. Even with a very good camera and a photo class behind me. lol.  Maybe I should have taken the class in PhotoShop instead?
Anyways, in this card I used "Delicate Asters and Butterflies" stamp set from Heartfelt Creations. The image was colored with Copics - V20's, G60's and Y20's. I cut it out and used coordinating paper colors and the Spellbinder's die Radiant Rectangles. A little glitter glue (Stickles) around edges and to highlight a few spots, a bead or four, and it's done.

Prickley Pear Monday Post

This week I went the Mixed Media way, sort of. I gessoed a 4x4 canvas, took my new Hexagon 6x6 stencil from the Crafters Worshop and a little embossing paste. While this was all drying my PPRS large Hibiscus die came out. I punched out 4 flowers in metal and used Copic RV93 and RV95 to color them, and made the large flower by cutting and gluing it.(Tutorial will follow.) Next I stamped with Archival ink, I used both of the PPRS Hibiscus Clear Stamp sets. I also used the smaller Hibiscus die and cut out 3 paper flowers using BoBunny's new C'est La Vie 6x6 paper pad.
Time to paint!! I used my new Art Anthology Colorations Vineyard Spray, Victorian Velvet and Bundled Sage Distress Paint. Glued down paper, again from BoBunny's new C'est La Vie paper collection, and strip of folded washi tape from Prima's Sunrise Sunset collection. My big metal flower and one of the little ones got tiny orchid colored glassbeads glued to the edges and I added a white "pearl" to the middle of each flower, glued the big flower in place and stamped my Sentiment from the PPRS Hibiscus Set 2 in Archival ink.
I sure hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!

PS. I really need to make myself a light box so my colors come out better. Since Photoshop and I are apparently never going to be close friends. lol

Lots of new stamps soon!

I'm adding some new companies again - 2 Swedish ones, imagine that, Vilda Stamps and Bild Malarna as well as Stampotique. Now, I know I'm going against my own rule of not carrying wood mounted stamps, , but Stampotique has these 2 artists that I just love, Daniel Torrente and Jill Penney. Very gothic, dark style. Vilda stamps are a little different from that, I ordered mainly Steampunk, and a few, very cute mushroom houses. The samples they had at the convention in Gothenburg, Sweden were truly inspiring. And last, but not least, very, very adorable kids by Bild Malarna. They too, had great samples at the convention.
I'm not sure what the turn around time is for these companies since they're new to me, but keep an eye out.
I will also be looking into a good source for EZ-mounting foam. I know some of you are very hesitant about buying completely unmounted stamps. From my standpoint, UM stamps, especially when ordering from overseas as much as I do, are cheaper and lighter. Which equals more stamps at a lower price! :)
OK, I am in the process of uploading the new batch of Chocolate Baroque stamps that have come in, so I'll talk to you later.

Prickley Pear Monday Submission.

I love the look of Poppies, so bright and colorful. Here I used the stamps Poppies Garden (JJ0036) and the sentiment comes from the Hibiscus Clear Set from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. I colored the image with Copics - used the R20's for the Poppies. Then I pulled out my old, old folder with Coluzzle templates, and cut the different sizes of tags. Layered them, added a brad and some natural raffia. I stamped the saying and used an EK punch to punch it out.

Back in the US!

Yap, went on a little trip. And managed to time it right with the Spring Scrap and Stamp Convention in my hometown of Gothenburg, Sweden. Let me tell you, there are some excited and talented people in Sweden!!
I made a list of companies to look into.
So, let me go fill some orders, sorry I'm behind schedule, and then place some of my own. :)

I just played with all kinds of stuff in this project - Art Parts large Flourished Frame, Frantage Aged Embossing Enamel in Ochre and Spice, PaperArtsy, Crowns and Castles Plate 4, Mini Cloud Stencil, Embossing Paste, Clear UTEE and a little crown cookie cutter. And the castle was colored with Copics , of course. You can find all of these supplies (except for the cookie cutter) at www.thestamproom.com.
