Different Direction.

I am on a roll today!
This one required A LOT less time etc. The stamp is called PenPattern Flower, from Stampendous. I just took it in a whole different direction than their "PenPattern" style.
I white-embossed the flower multiple times on the back ground, then used the Fresco JOFY Limited Edition paint set and painted over the flowers. Wipe the paint off with a light touch and a baby wipe. Lay down each color on a separate paper and white emboss the flower on top of each color. Then just cut them out, do a little shaping and glue in place. I thought the little saying went well.

Stampendous' Blossom Beauty

This face stamp (Blossom Beauty w/template) is so cool and versatile. I stamped it in black ink, used PanPastels to color the skin. Then I went to town on her "hair". It's a technique I picked up from a Donna Downey video. I took different kinds of flowers, the biggest ones I assembled myself, then I glued them down in an arch, which I drew using the Blossom Beauty template. Since none of the flowers matched color wise, I slathered them with Gesso until I felt they had good coverage. I painted them with Art Anthology Sorbet paints, using the colors Just Peachy, Mi Bella and Coral. When everything was dry I took clear embossing ink and dabbed away, then poured Clear UTEE on and melted it. This last step was repeated a couple of times to get the desired effect - a sort of glass look.
The background was sprayed with a Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst blue spray, then I added the falling stars with a stencil and Golden's Glass Bead Gel. I went over the stars with a little bit of Perfect Pearls for some extra shimmer. The fence is a Tim Holtz die and I punched it out of cardboard, peeled away a layer here and there and painted it with Art Anthology Cotton.

Fun Class!

We had fun and were creative at the last class. Here is a picture of Libby's finished project. Perfect for her Steampunk bathroom. When it's ready.
